Good to hear from you Barbara. I have information back four generations. Don't have much in the way of specif documentation. It comes from two sources: Larry Noah (a descentent of the Clapps), and the International Genealogical Index. The specifics are from Larry.

Tempa Clapp (I have Tempa’s birth as Dec 1824 in Ohio – Calculated from the US Census of 1900). If this date is correct, then Elizabeth Weaver was a stepmother and Elizabeth Friddle was John Ludwig Clapp’s first wife?

John Ludwig Clapp (Father) b. 16 Sep 1785 in Old Orange Co. North Carolina.
       d. 12 Aug 1862 in Darke Co. Ohio
       Interred in the Palestine Cemetery, Darke Co, Ohio
       m. Elizabeth Weaver 20 Oct 1847 in Darke Co, Ohio
Elizabeth Weaver. d. 28 Mar 1891 in Darke Co, Ohio
Interred in the Palestine Cemetery in Darke Co. Ohio
(Nothing else about her)

Generation 3              

Jacob Clapp (John L’s father) b. 22 Nov 1749 in Berks Co. Pennsylvania
       d. 30 Jan 1832 in Alamance Co. North Carolina
m. 01 Dec 1772 Anna Barbara Foust in the Brick Church, Guilford, North Carolina
He had been a Captain in the Revolutionary Army and fought at the Battle of Guilford, North Carolina

Anna Barbara Foust (John L’s mother). b. 17 Jan 1752 in Berks Co. Pennsylvania.
       d. 1 Mar or Apr 1837 in Guilford, North Carolina
       Interred 3 Mar or Apr 1837 in Guilford, North Carolina

Generation 4

Johan Ludwig Klapp (Jacob’s father) b. 1711 in either Istha Hessen, Germany or Weisenham am Berg, Germany
       d. bef 19 Jun 1777 in Orange Co. North Carolina.
Interred in Guilford, North Carolina
Immigrated 27 Sep 1727 from Rotterdam, Holland to Rowan, North Carolina on the ship Goodwill.
m. cica 1735 Anna Margaret Strader (Place unknown)

Anna Margaret Strader. b. 18 Jun 1717 in Germany.
       d. 17 Jan 1835 in Guilford, North Carolina

Johan Faust b. 27 Sep 1719 Hesse, Germany
       d. 12 Dec 1789 in Orange, North Carolina
       Interred in the Brick Church & Cemetery, Guilford, Alamance, North Carolina
       m. Anna Barbara Albright
       Immigrated on 27 Aug 1733 from Rotterdam Holland on the ship Elizabeth to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
