I have a little confusion about Barton Stone Clapp- his marriages and children. I'm almost certain I have an error because dates don't really match.
First, I have Barton as being married 4 times- 1)Unknown- married 1835, 2) Catherine Bridges- married 12/29/1848, 3) Pitts Milner- marriage date unknown, and 4) Mary Ann Cunningham- 4/25/1860. Question- Who was the first wife, mother of Barton Stone, Jr., your ancestor?
For his first marriage, whose name I'm missing, I have children William H.- b. 1835, Sermerimus- b. 1837, Katharine- b. 1839, Alexander Bea- b. 8/1843, George W.- b. 2/1844, Barton Stone, Jr.- b. 1845, and Elizabeth- b. 1849. I assume Elizabeth's birthdate is incorrect since he married Bridges in '48.
For his marriage to Catherine Bridges, I have Elizabeth- b. 1850. Is this the same Elizabeth that I have under the first marriage??
I have no children for either Pitts Milner or Mary Ann Cunningham who I assume was the widow from Montgomery.
Any help will be truly appreciated especially with Barton Stone, Jr.'s mother and the two Elizabeth's.
By the way, I am descended from William King Clapp, Barton Sr.'s youngest brother. William King lived with Barton and his family after the death of their parents.
