As for Osgod Clapa, I have only found he had a daughter-quite unusual in pre-birth control days to only have one child. If one is the truth, the name Clapa/Clapp is stopped at that point, unless a decendant married another Clapp line. I have only been able to research my Clapp line back to Roger Clap, born about 1472 and can try to help connect you from there, most Clapp's are connected, even as distant cousins. If you want to try to connect, please email me: snowferret@msn.com. Please put "Clapp" in the subject line, as I tend to discard stuff without reading it if it's not familiar.
Linda
