I'm looking for a connection to later Clapps who were in Newberry County, SC. Specifically Joseph Clapp b. ca 1740/45? He had a son Jacob b ca 1765/84 who married Susanna MNU and had sons Adam, David and Robert and at least one daughter. I am descended through Adam Clapp who changed the last name to CLAMP.
