Janet, thank you for the information and other sources to check. Where might I locate the "Strycker Family book"? Sampson & Ursula had the following children: Mary, Sarah, John, Joseph, Ruth, Rhoda & Jarvis. I have this strong hunch that Ursula's sister Rhoda Clapp may be connected to my Losee line. I have found Abraham Losee mentioned in the Lennox Milita (War of 1812) and also a Joseph Losee & Dorland Losee. Have not yet checked the military records for clues. There were Losee families living in Frontenac, Lennox & Addington and Prince Edward Counties up to at least the 1901 Ontario census. ........ Gail.
