I am researching Margaret Clancy SIMONS, wife of George SIMONS.Margaret was supposedly born in Ireland, George in Germany. They were my ggg grandparents. They had at least three children that I know of, Elizabeth SIMONS who married Ferdinand HANTKE in NYC in 1860 (gg grandparents).I believe they lived in NY state all/or most of their lives.I do not have a place of death or burial for Margaret or George, nor dates.I am not sure where their domicile was.
Mary Jane was born about 1844 and died in 1914.Supposedly she was never married, but am not positive about that.Death certificate states she was single at time of death. She died in Brooklyn, NY and is buried there.
Zachariah Simons was born in 1849 and died when he was 50 years old.He also supposedly was unmarried and lived in Brooklyn. He was a clerk.I believe he died of a self inflicted wound according to death certificate.
I am seeking to find out more about George and Margaret and see if they are in your tree.
I am researching the family roots of George SIMONS also.I know little or nothing about them except that George was the father of Elizabeth SIMONS HANTKE, my great grandmother.George immigrated from Prussia.I do not know if he came alone, with family, or the names of his family or where in Prussia they came from.
