Trying to find out where William H. Clampitt born in 1816 lived first in NC? or DE?
He was born in Torquay England; however,
his brother Herbert Clampitt was born in the USA. It is believed he came into this country as a young child. His father may have been William Clampitt who first showed up in the Washington DC census for 1820?
