Hi Anne, and Thank You kindly for the info. As far as to what county they were in while in Alabama, my guess is, bouncing back and forth between Blount Co. and Lawrence co. Re: Elisha's 3rd son, James L. Clampitt (mine) b.1817 Alabama m. Afrha Earp b. 1820 in Lawrence Co. and they married in Blount Co., AL. James and Afrha's 2nd child Elisha Galveston Clampitt (mine) b. 1-14-1841 in Blount Co., AL and then their 3rd child Mary "Lovemary" Clampitt b. 8-7-1845 in Lawrence Co., AL.
Now Elisha b. abt. 1782 in Delaware died in Franklin Co., Texas. James L. Clampitt b. 1817 also died in Franklin Co., Texas. Elisha Galveston Clampitt b. 1841 in Blount Co., AL died in Gilmer, Upsher Co., Texaas. Hope that I did not confuse you to much, and that some of this sets off bells. Rikki
