Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, July l7, l924 Monday, June 30, twenty-nine kind friends and relatives of MRS. FANNY CLAMPITT, met at her farm, north of Pleasanton with cultivators and teams and plowed about 42 acres of corn, both lengthwise and crosswise. Those present were: CHAS WAFFLE, DAVE TURPIN, JAMES MOREY, OMAR CRAIG, LLOYD GRIFFIN, CLAIR CRAIG, FRANK SMITH, NATE WILLIS, ERNIE EASTIN, CLYDE CRAIG, LEE BEARD, CHARLES WALKER, GROVER WILLIS, MONT CLAMPITT, WILL GRIFFIN, BERT POUSH, ART GRIFFIN, TOMMIE WILLIAMS, L.D. GRIFFIN, TOM MYERS, CHARLES GRIFFIN, JAMES KEOWN, GEORGE GRIFFIN, H.E. HENDRICKSON, FRANK WILLIAMS, WM. TURPIN, CHAS. GRIFFIN, JR. On Friday, July llth, twenty-one kind friends and relatives participated in laying of the corn by. Those present were CHARLES COZZI, LEE BEARD, CLYDE CRAIG, CLAIR CRAIG, L.D. GRIFFIN, GEORGE GRIFFIN, JAMES MOREY, TOM MYERS, CHARLES WFFLE, OSCAR EASTIN, HUBERT CRAIG, OMAR CRAIG, MONT CLAMPITT, FRANK SMITH, ART GRIFFIN, AUSTIN GRIFFIN, WILL GRIFFIN, LLOYD GRIFFIN, GLEN LUPER. MRS. CLAMPITT's husband died after an illness of a few days and as he had in a large crop, the neighbors and friends kindly helped to care for the crop as best they could, which MRS.
