I have been against the wall for a long time in trying to document further back than my ggggrandfather Nathan Clampet b. 15 Dec 1781 d.15 Sep 1845 in IL. I believe one of his brothers was Ezekiel b. ca 1760 d. Mar 1832. Some confusion comes about with multiple occurrences of "Nathans" and "Ezekiels". My current request is to try to accumulate the names, etc of any Clampet (ett,it,itt) born 1730-1750 and try to determine if they were the father of Nathan and Ezekiel. Does anyone have such names?
Any other advice would also be welcomed. Thanks.
