In response to David's post. I have information on the Claiborne's of Virginia. Gregory (George) Claiborne. He was the brother of the Chief Surgeon of Petersburg Dr John Herbert Claiborne. Both men served in the Confederacy as Surgeons and as Virginia soldiers. They were a very well known family and direct descendants to the King of 1050. As we speak there is a bible belonging to Gregory Weldon Claiborne on ebay under Civil War Soldier's Bible. Upon request, I would send some information on what I have of the Claiborne's. Bill
