I am trying to get some history on the CLAGUE family to see how they relate to my COWIN family who departed from Ballagawne Farm, Lonan, Isle of Man.
In late 1851 or early 1852, Philip Cowin, wife Margaret Garrett and their four children William, Thomas, Margaret and Catharine Jane emigrated to Australia. Philip left behind his parents Thomas Cowin (1782-1861) and Margaret Karran (c1782-1859) who are thought to have owned about 9 acres at Ballagawne Farm, near Baldrine village, Lonan Parish.
If anyone can help on the owners/tenants of Ballagawne Farm around this time, it would be much appreciated.
