Hello:
I have the complete geneology of my branch of the family, stemming from Lyman Jewett (great grandfather) who was one of the early settlers in Buffalo County. In fact, there is a rather detailed account of his settlement in the "History of Buffalo County" published a few years ago in association with their 150th anniversary or such.Although my lineage goes back to McClothlin (scotland) (I think I am a 13th generation from him), I too am not a descendant of Increase Claflin. We are planning a short trip to Door County this fall and my brief attempt tolearn about him has lead me to this chat room. Our family roots go back to the Mondovi,WI area where both of myparents were raised.I encounted Claflins from time to time while on the UW faculty and now as a recent retiree, have the time to learn a bit more about the family structure, particularly in Wisconsin and the midwest. Thanks for the response.Cordially,
