I could not locate anyone with that surname, so I searched for a Texas colonel with the surname Parsons. There was a William H parsons, colonel of the TX 12 Cavalry, CSA. Sorting through member of that unit with the surname beginning with S, I found J.C.Schellinger, Company E, a private.

No additional information, I wonder what his correct surname was.
