Rick Bryant.NADA follow up. Rec'd pension info. In March. Med. records &
Discharge were misaligned during micro-filming,I suppose, as critical line was partially obscured. Seems the gunshot wound occurred at Manchester,
Pa. & was accidental. June 1877 pension ocument reported " ...no evidence of accidental pistol wound April 3, 1865.".
Certificate of Disability for Discharge 26 June 1865 did confirm a gun-shot
Wound of chest. Pvt. Blase Barney (Rochon) died in 1910 . Coroner report
Says death contributory to Army Service, gunshot wound.
Ten pages for $ 30.00 including a handwritten note with explanation of why
his name was changed between two enlistments..(true or not) .?
Worthwhile indeed G.D.Barney
