Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Bill, thanks for the help. Every piece helps. Another Forum friend found that
My Ggfather enlisted two years previous in NY . Family story seems to fit
That his mother somehow annulled that, So Blase made his way to Maine
And used his stepfather name. He was wounded by gunfire and hospitalized in Maryland. If I could learn details of the cause, or conflict
One more piece -------! Breaking the Nat. Archives seems beyond my novice ability . G.D. Barney- Rochon
