Bill,a genforum member found somewhere that Blase B. enlisted as Rochon .surname,1863.perhaps underage, in N Y. I know he married in
1867 Macomk Co. Mich. as Blase Rochon . In 1878 registered a land grant
In Tuscrora Twp Mi. & received pension , as Blase Barney.
Mystery to me what circumstances allowed

Parents from Canada.,French heritage.
