Christopher thanks. I don't have the draft card, just a photo of the page when he registered. His full name is Andrew Charles Klein, which is interesting because you found a Charles Andrew Klein. Although that might be him, I have equal reason to doubt, because he usually went by Andrew Klein, which is the name he registered, and it's the name on his gravestone. The only other information on the page of the registration book is: Station: 9th Congr. Dist. of the State of New York, 12th, 19th, 22nd wards, City and County of New York and Blackwells wards, and Randalls Island. Signed by a Capt. (illegible first name) E. Jenkins, Capt. and provost marshall, 9th Dist. N.Y. July 1, 1863. Thanks. Ed Klein Interesting, I think I found the same 2 you did. Both current residences are the same and age is about the same. It looks like the same person signed up twice on about the same day. Is that possible?? Here's a couple of links....not sure if it will work. http://search.ancestry.com/iexec?htx=View&r=an&dbid=1666&iid=32178_620305173_0109-00720&fn=Andrew&ln=Klein&st=r&ssrc=&pid=1446065 http://search.ancestry.com/iexec?htx=View&r=an&dbid=1666&iid=32178_620305173_0109-00702&fn=Andrew&ln=Klein&st=r&ssrc=&pid=1445600 Notify Administrator about this message?
