Rick

You have been so good to help me. I emailed the Fort Delaware Society a couple of days ago and before the day was over I got a whole page reply from Hugh there. He had gone through all records and gave me a complete recap of the records that were in the file of the John Kemp that I thought was the correct one. He even looked through microfilm records and found that he was hospitalized there just before he was paroled. But he did not think this was the John Kamp that was enrolled in Co D 4th Regiment Mississippi Infantry - even though the compiled records led me there. I now realize that there were errors in filing those records years later.

I got to searching and found that that the 4th infantry regiment became the 46th. Could you look at the records of the John Kemp who was in Co K 46th Mississippi Regiment and give me a recap of his record.

My subscription has run out to fold3

Thanks so much!
