Hamrick Confederate Grave

Looking for grave of John Myers Hamrick, b. Ala. 1827 died in Hamilton County TN July 4 1863. He was a soldier in the 36th Alabama Infantry. My 92 year old uncle saw the grave (his great-grandfather), shown to him by his aunt, Mattie Hamrick Grimmer, who lived in Chattanooga, in the 1940s while he was in Army serving as a POW guard at Tullahoma. My uncle thought the site was in Franklin Co., TN, near Sewanee, but other records indicate it was in Hamilton Co. All he remembers is that there were a few graves marked with stone near the roadside on a steep hill or mountain. He could see a church steeple in the distance. This isn't much to go on but if anyone has any help or suggestions it would be appreciated.
