William N. Meeks/21st Cav, 1st Lancer's 1st Rgmt Carter's Brigade

I am searching for records on William N.(Nathan) Meeks, born in 1840 Scott AR and died in 1864. He served with the 21st Cavalry, 1st Lancer's, 1st Regiment, Carter's Brigade and he served in Texas. He was in Bell Texas when he married Jane (Hester Jane) Kuykendall.

Supposedly he is buried in Scott, Arkansas but I've not been able to locate a grave. Jane was left a widow with two children (I think both girls) and chances are she remarried but I've not been able to determine that either.

If anyone can give me any information on his service records I would appreciate it.
