Hi Bill

I was able to use the actual AG's report-1100+ pages of lists. Found him in two places (1) in a list of drafted men, and (2)in a list of draftees shipped out of Portland.

By a stroke of luck I was able to find a library that would let the book out on interlibrary loan.

He died of typhoid fever at Georgetown, SC but so far I have had no luck finding where he is buried. It's possible that he was buried at Georgetown and never moved. I have got to go back to what I was trying last spring perhaps with a different approach.

Thanks for your help! John
