Error in Shorey's Book?

Hi Michael

The more I look at that record the more I question it.

The Maine Adj. General's report does not have him joining service until 1865. Shorey collected his information (other than what he might have recorded during his service) some years later and certainly used the
Adj. Gen's material.

I have got to admit I have read that book a number of times and never noticed any errors (but not looking for them either) I will check the scans of the monthly reports from the Maine Archives now on Family Search.

John
