Some of you might want to pass this on to others?

"Found the newspaper article from back home abt. a new website that for the first time visitors can track the movements of a soldier or his regiment with the new "Walk In Their Footsteps" program at:

www.virginiacivilwar.org/footsteps

The VA Sesquicentennical of the Civil War Commission has launched the new site which allows visitors to follow a certain soldiers "footsteps" when in a VA battlefield. It provides a databas of Military Regiments that served in VA during the C.W. and identifies the battles those regiments fought in. It connects descendants with the places where their ancestors served and fought. A Tutorial is on line to help and guide the users! I thought you all might like to see this!"
