George Stanley/Standley

George Stanley/Standley was born in Carroll County, Missouri in 1840. It is shown in my records that he served in Company D, of the 5th U.S. Volunteer Infantry. Meaning he was a Galvanized Yankee. He also had a Brother who fought along side him in the same unit, Barlett Christopher Stanley/Standley born 1833 in Carroll County, Missouri, who was also a galvanized yankee. I heard the 5th comprised of men from Camp Douglas. Can anyone help me find them in the Confederacy? TIA
