I find records for three -Charles Wilkins - who served Illinois.
Charles from Fulton, a private, served in Companies I and E of the IL 53rd Infantry.
Charles from Ottawa, a private -later promoted to corporal- Company B, IL 72 Infantry.
Charles S.from Marion County, served Company K, IL 111th Infantry as a private.
None of the records show time spent as a guest in the Sunny South at Andersonville.
As you have prison-time details, as well as events at Franklin, possibly you have details as to the unit he was in?
