William Lightner Myers, Private,Co. "H", 107th Pa. Inf., Vol.
I have a copy of William Lightner Myers Military and Pension Records from the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
He enlisted January 9, 1862, and was a Private in Co. "H" of the 107th Pa. Infantry Volunteers.
He was wounded & taken prisoner on Aug. 30, 1862 at the Second Battle of Bull Run.
On September 3, 1862 he was exchanged from Centerville Prison.
He was discharged April 15, 1863 near Fletchers Chapel, Va. due to medical problems.
He was 6'-2" tall, dark complextion, grey eyes and dark hair
He was a bricklayer (mason) before the war.
His Pension Records show that he died April 15, 1864, Mercersburg, Pa.
He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Cunningham on August 28, 1845. She died May 15, 1865, Mercersburg, Pa.

William Cecil Myers, born Sept. 3, 1852
Anna Mary Myers, born Feb. 16, 1857, died Dec. 6, 1875
Rachel Lorraine Myers, born June 24, 1859
It also states that Anna M., wife of George C. Bender, who lived in Philadelphia, Pa., was "the soldiers' sister."
