Brain lock on my part, sorry.After posting, I reread your query, and you were looking for "Colonel Taylor's Regiment".Of course, Alanson Taylor could later have been promoted to Colonel, but I have no record of this.Perhaps someone with extensive Texas data can help. There were nine other Taylors in the TX 13th Infantry, but all enlisted, and are not noted as becoming an officer.
As for the TX 35th Cavalry, eleven Taylor's are listed, all as enlisted men.
More importantly, you list your Washington F.Morris as confederate; what proof have you?
