Hi James
I was born an raise in a little town call Shinnston Wva, I am looking for bith records of my GGG uncle who was in the civil war. He has a medal comming and I am trying to claim it. I sent all the information to Charleston, but I have to connect him to his parents, and I can not find his birth records. His father and all his brothers were in the civil war I have all their records , it cost me a lot of money to get. Stephen W Matheny was his name he was born on6-24-1836inPocahontas Co Va and died on2-11-1911 inParkersburg wood county WVa Lived in Mineral wells. Do you know where I could find his birth records?
