Gordon: Hi. I am aCW researcher. I found your Caleb Reynolds in Co. I. of the 65th. Indiana. Enlisted 8/20/1862. Does list home town of Clarks Prarriee. The regt. was organized at PRINCETON. Usually, regts. were org. in a particular area from where the soldiers enlisted from. The 65th. went to Henderson,Ky.; also occupied Knoxville, Tenn.; and was with Sherman in Atlanta Campaign. Went north to face confed. led by Hood to battles of Franklin and Nashville. Mustered out in June of 1865.Caleb was listed as a prisoner of war, and did not survive the war. I don't know if he would have any pension records in Nat. Archives. There are several possibilities where Caleb could have been interred as a prisoner. Do you want to find his burial place?Steven
