This is very much random, but noticing your name I had to give it ye olde shot in the dark try. I am a descendant of william thomas Daniel who was part of the GA 34th. He married elizabeth Stovall of Cass county, now Bartow county GA. ( all very close to Murray county GA)He was captured at the Champion Hill fight and later paroled from Vicksburg. He was on his way home in the care of a Rev. Lea when he died 10 miles outside of Enterprise. With you last name on your post listed as Daniel and with you having ancestors in Murray county I figured I would give it a shot. My William Thomas had 3 children addie Lee Daniel, Frances ( sissy) Daniel and my great grandfather Patrick Thomas DAniel. Patrick was born while his daddy was at war, but William named him in one of the letters home. Anyway, I thought I would give this a shot. We are terrbily stuck prior to 1850 on this Daniel line.
