I am looking for information about Mary Passalacqua Natiello Ciabattari, survivor of the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, January 28, 1922, Washington, DC. According to newspaper accounts, she was married to Ernesto Natiello, the leader of the Knickerbocker Theater Orchestra. Ernesto Natiello was killed in the disaster. She attended the theater that night with a neighbor, Vincent Dauber, age 9, who was killed in the disaster. She suffered minor injuries.

She later married Ralph A. Ciabattari, an Italian deli owner, and lived the remainder of her life in Louisville, Kentucky. She died April 18, 1954, at age 72 and is buried in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery (Section N, Lot 72, Grave 9), Louisville, Kentucky.

I am writing a book about the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster and would like to include survivor photos, survivor stories and family accounts of the disaster. If anyone knows of Mary Passalacqua Natiello Ciabattari, or her family, please contact me at ChambersDK@state.gov. Many thanks.
