Sorry for the error in my posting. James Chute b. 17 Mar 1764 Windham, Cumberland County, Maine is not the father of James P and William C Chute's father.
I have since found that the site which I don't remember the address of had posted the wrong information.
Please forgive me for posting the error.
As far as I know that information is the only incorrect information I have on that line.
