I have Douglas in my database. However, I show him as marrying Mary E. Wynans on December 12, 1886 in Washington Co., OH. He very well may have been married prior to that to Florence Stephens. He was the grandson of William B. and Anna, not the son.
William B. Chute (b. 1-21-1797, d. 5-28-1887) was born in Kennebec, Maine.
NOTE: I descend from his older brother (the only other known sibling) James P. Chute, b. 1790 married Clarissa McGrath in 1811 in Kennebec.
William married Anna Varner on 5-12-1822 in Wesley, Washington Co., OH. They had 10 children, including the following:
1) Nancy, 2) George Hiram, 3) John Clinton, 4) Samuel Sylvester, 5) Elivra, 6) Albert, 7) Eli, 8) David Benton, 9) Amanda, and 10) Eliza Jane.
#3, John Clinton Chute, b. 10-1827, married Nancy Jane McLaughlin, daughter of Isaac McLaughlin and Nancy Irwin, on 5-21-1855 in Washington Co. They had 7 children including:
1) Emily Jane b. 1856 2) Harry Nelson b. 1-12-1859, 3) Jasper N. b. 1862, 4) Douglas McClelland (McAllan) b. 4-1864, 5) Mary Caroline b. 1869, 6) Elmer S. b. 7-13-1870, and 7) Pearl (male) b. 8-9-1876.
Douglas and Mary had 3 children. 1) George W. b. 4-1888 married Millie Stanton, 2) Donald E. b. 8-1889 married Helen Salser, and 3) Walter b. 9-15-1892 married Rebecca Wynn.
Yes, I do have Douglas' death as 4-14-1923 in Marietta, Washington Co., OH.
