Hi Barbara, As I may have written in previous postings, the reason I was interested in Sydney Churchward was that our team of amateur-archeaeologists (The Diggers) in Feb 2002 found remains of a Canadian soldier fallen in 1917 near Passendale (Belgium), of who I was for 99% sure that we could identify him as Sydney Churchward (based on strong dental evidence : 3 gold teeth lower jaw). However, later a DNA test disappointingly showed that I was ... wrong. The man has been buried since in an "Unknown" grave, at Passendale, and of course this was also the end of my interest in the search for possible descendants of Sydney Churchward, since he apparently was not the man whose remains we had found. (I must say I still find this extremely hard to believe, for the evidence was very solid in my eyes.) (By the way, in a previous posting I gave a link to a long article on my website explaining everything. No need to try find this now, as two months ago I removed this website from the internet, no longer being a member of the amateur-archaeologists team.)
