William,
I will ask Bill Churchill to contact you and give you details on testing with DNAHeritage.com. My first cousin, Charles Churchill was tested and was a close match to a gentleman in Scotland whose heritage was traced back to 16th century Oxfordshire England. I will email him and tell him that you have trace your ancestor back to William Churchill of VA. His father's research shows William's English family. I will have to send you that information. My computer crashed and I don't have all those files on this computer, but will work on getting them back.
Another Churchill in ILL was tested and showed a more distant relationship to my cousin and to our English cousin. He thinks that his lineage goes back to William. My cousin and I go back to Samuell of VA.
Anyway, thanks for your willingness to be tested. You are the first confirmed descendant of William that we have found.
