I know it's been a long time since you wrote this, but I just now found it while searching Google. Grace Caldwell Hall is my great aunt. Her parents were William and Elaine Caldwell and she was born in 1889. She lived in Louisville, Ky and had a summer home in Orleans, Mass. She did write the genealogy books, which took her fifty years to research and publish. There is also a copy in the Library of Congress. She was totally deaf and a brilliant woman. She died in 1985. Her childhood home in Louisville is now a house museum. You can see it at Conrad-Caldwell.org or Google Conrad-Caldwell House.
