Hi, am also researching Churchill's in Newfoundland. My grandfather's name was James Gillott, born Dec.25, l866 Newfoundland, mother Sarah Churchill, b. Eng. Father of James unknown and place of birth unknown. Family says biological father of James went down with ship when Sarah was pregnant with James, possibly he was illegitimate. Any connection to yours? thanks.
