Our Sampson family line has a number of Churchills I have been unable to trace. Family legend has it that there was a Native American in the line who went by Chief Vickery. Rebecca Churchill (c1835) married our gggrandfather Henry Sampson (b.1831) and was (from what I have been informed) the daughter of a Prince Churchill. Prince's wife is said to be a woman named Asenath? Any Asenath Vickery's in your info? Has anyone heard of Chief Vickery?
