Janet,

There is a problem saying how Mary Churchill, b. 1654 was related to the Marlborough line since we don’t know for sure who her father John of Plymouth, MA was. The most likely candidate for John of Plymouth’s parents is the Rev. John Churchill, b. 1603 the Rector of Stinsford and Steeple and his wife Sarah (Churchill) Churchill. Again we don’t know for sure.

If John of Plymouth was from this line his daughter Mary would have been a 4th cousin once removed of the first Sir. Winston Churchill. But who knows?

Why in the world would you want to know who Mary Churchill, b. 1654 was related to?? Are you a Doty descendant?

Paul,

Be careful about saying that a Gitto (Ortho) de Leon is a relative of the Churchills (or anyone for that matter) since he has never been documented (other than by the first Sir Winston). The earliest confirmed ancestor of the Churchills is Hugh the Pincerna, b. abt 980.
