It seems to me that this Job Churchill, son of John of Norton, Oxfordshire, husbandman . . . “to Mathew Marriott, 19 Jul 1661, Cooks' Company”, is not likely the Job Churchill, brother of the William Churchill of the Virginia Colony.

First, William's father John Churchill was a Yeoman and not a Husbandman.

Second, the parishes/places named Norton which are closest to North Aston & Deddington are Norton Brize, which is 20 miles from Deddington and 17 miles from North Aston, and Norton Chipping which is about 10 miles from both North Aston and Deddington.

It is quite interesting to find that they were apprenticed (or bonded) out for training. Some of the Deddington Churchills of this period went to university. Others were in craft trades or were shop keepers. It would be interesting to learn more about the companies.
