To Mike Stafford: My line does not seem to connect directly with yours, although our ancestors were rubbing elbows in both Vermont and Ohio. My ancestor, Steven Churchill (and his older brother William), were both in Franklin Co., Vermont (3 counties north of Rutledge Co.), from about 1797 to about 1812 (?). They were both in Portage Co., Ohio (next to Geauga Co.), by the 1820 census. It would seem likely that there was some connection ?? My line is Josiah b 1643, England; Jonathon b 1692, Weathersfield, CT; William b 1727, Litchfield, CT; Stephen b after 1766; my ggrandfather, Levi b 1815, Portage Co., Ohio; and grandmother Phylena Senetta b about 1860, Kosciusko Co., IN. My present goal is to confirm the sibling relationship of my Stephen and his brother William. Best Regards, Bob Wade
