Hi, I have an Elizabeth wife of James Churchill died Dec. 7 l873 age 90. Could this be the wife of a James Churchill who petitioned for 2 acres of land on Portugal Cove Road in l833 and died in Grates Cove in l862? Elizabeth is buried in the old Methodist graveyard on Days Road (sometimes called Churchill Road), Portugal Cove. Other Churchills mentioned are: Ezra and wife Sarah, Frederick (brother to Ezra), George Richard and wife (son of Ezra), Walter (son of Ezra) and 3 children of Ezra's and Sarah's who died with months of each other 1892/93 from dyptheria.
