Luther B. Churchill: Birth/Christening: December 12, 1831; Spouse: Mary Jane Hawkins Parents: Father: John Churchill and Mother: Experience Hale

Our Mothers' paternal grandparents are Herbert Deforest Churchill, and Harriet Place Churchill. I do know Great Grandma was born in Pennsylvania or Illinois.
Great Grandpa, I believe was born in Illinois. I do not, at the present time, know his father's name. But, Great Great Grandpa fought in the civil war after becoming an American Citizen. I heard he was a Presbyterian
minister, and that he was the uncle of Winston. (This is all hearsay, or as I heard it as a child.) Great Grandpa died in Sonora, California, and is buried in the Masonic Cemetery, so that tells me he was a Mason. Great Grandma died in Oakland, California, and is probably buried in one of the cemeteries there. They had nine children, I believe. Luther, Pearl, Elaine, Ralph, John (Jack), and Thomas are six of them. I will have to search my memory bank for others. Ralph lived in Oakland as did Pearl. Great Uncle Jack died in Sonora. His children were Mabel, Stanley and Paul. His wife was Alma.
