Denise - I am chasing a similar story. I have an Elizabeth Churchill who came to Newfoundland around 1850 to teach. She settled in Topsail and married James John Parmiter. She is supposed to have a brother Charlie who also came to the Americas (may or may not have been Newfoundland) and could not be later found. Apparently there was a will that both had to sign and since he could not be found the will was converted to the Crown. Elizabeth and her brother are descendents of the Duke of Marlboro. I would be interested in anything more you may have. Gary
