In the 1850 Izard Co census for Richwoods Township, dwg 29, there is a CHURCHILE [sic] family listed - Joseph D. (b. in NJ in abt 1797), wife Lucretia (VA in 1803), and children John S. (b. in AR in about 1829), James J., Levina, Jane, Lucy, William, Dempsy W., Joseph (b. in 1844 AR). That would mean this family arrived in AR in 1829 or earlier. The oldest son, John S.CHURCHILL, married a Susan J. from IL, (they are in the 1860 Izard census in the Benbrook Mills township, with four children: twins George W., and Charity A., 6, Sarah E., 4, and Louiza, an infant of one). does anyone have info on this CHURCHILL family NJ>AR possibly by way of Virginia? Any NJ CHURCHILL cousins with a Joseph D. Churchill b. in 1797?
