Harry Churchill, thanks very much for your response. I have yet to look up the Churchill Family in America, but this certainly sounds like the same Dennis Churchill. He adopted my great grandmother, Cornelia Eunice Richmond and her brother, Franklin. The Clinton Churchill I know of may have been another adopted son. They all took on the surname of Churchill. My great grandmother was a prolific writer whose diaries and letters I have just begun to transcribe. She loved her adoptive parents very much and called them mother and father. She was raised in fairly comfortable surroundings, but I haven't yet learned what Dennis Churchill did for a living other than maintain a farm. I believe Franklin had a business in Akron that had something to do with lumber. Are you related to them?
