Major John Thomas Chunn -
cited for bravery, Capt. John Thomas Chunn, othe 17th Kentucky Infantry. A Company captain of the 17th and 19th infantry. Cited for bravery for his defense of the American fortifications on Snake Hill - Niagara Campaign - August 1814, and he was brevetted to Major. Was present and signed the Treaty with the Sioux of St. Peter's River, July 19, 1815; and, with the Wea Indians of Ohio, later on.
