Hi,
I am not a member of NEHGS, but I DO live here in Massachusetts, and I have an apparently insolvable Chubbuck conundrum. This is my first visit to the board in some time, as previously there was next to nothing here, so I am glad to see the Chubbucks finally coming somewhat to light.
Our Martha Chubbuck (1764-1845) married 1789 Jonathan Bumpus (1768-1846), both of Wareham. She may well be of the same family as your Achsah, or certainly of the same general Benjamin or Nathaniel Chubbuck lines. I would certainly be interested in a starting point and would be willing to give it a go either at NEHGS or the Mass Archives etc. I generally go to the Mayflower library in Plymouth but that has been a dead end on the Chubbucks, other than one of the workers there being somewhat aware of the Wareham family, and I will be on vacation next week spending much time in genealogy pursuits so the timing may be perfect if you would like me to check something.
