I have been able to track the Chubbuck family from England in the 1600's to MA and finally into Landgrove, Bennington VT where Ensign Chubbuck is listed along with his wife - their son Hosea is also listed. Does anyone know where he died and when? Also listed are John Whitman and Gideon Davis. John Whitman married Sarah Chubbuck in 1785 in Merrimack NH. Their son John b. 1788 married Dorcas Davis in Clarendon, VT in 1811. The Whitmans left Tinmouth, Rutland VT in the 1820's and arrived in MI in 1836. Does anyone know what happened to John and Sarah (Chubbuck) Whitman? Where/When they died etc.
